Handling and Processing Instructions
General Requirements
Light Sensitive Material - Avoid Unintentional
Exposure to Light.
Process at 70° C - Must
be Thoroughly Mixed Before Processing. Store at 70°
F
to Maintain Mixture Homogeneity. If Separation Occurs (white flakes in
mixture), Heat to 70° C and Tumble to Mix.
Material is Sensitive to Freons - Do Not Expose
Cured Coatings to Freons.
Health Information
Mixture is Irritant.
Avoid Eye and Skin Contact - Wear Protective
Clothing.

Equipment Requirements
UV Light Source - Fusion UV Curing Systems
(301/251-0300) Model F300 or Equivalent.
Protected Enclosure for UV Exposures.
Spray Gun - BINKS Model 115 with 78S tip and 8 oz
fluid cup or Equivalent. Propel with Nitrogen.
Clean Bench or Fume Hood to Control Dust and Fumes.
Antistatic Materials for Handling Electronic
Components.
Spray Coating Procedures
Filter AT-924 Epoxy at 70°
C into Clean Spray Gun Reservoir.
Surface Preparation - Surfaces to be Coated Must be
Contaminant Free. Clean with an Appropriate Solvent. Where Possible, Etching
or Abrading Surface Will Promote Adhesion.
Spray Coating - Spray with Epoxy at 70°
C with 30 psi Nitrogen. Where Possible, Spray onto Warm Substrate for Best
Results. Avoid Exposure of Coated Substrate to Dust or Other Contaminants
Prior to UV Cure.
UV Cure - Expose to High Intensity UV Light Source
for 60 Seconds. Light Must Reach into All Coated Areas - Rotate Substrate or
Expose in a Reflective Enclosure.
Postcure - Expose UV Cured Coating at 70°
C for 2-4 Hours in a Clean Oven to Complete Cure. May be postcured at 125°
C for higher temperature applications.
