MSDS Request

Shelf Life

bullet

One year unless exposed to heat or light.

Equipment Requirements

bullet

UV Light Source - Fusion UV Curing Systems (301/251-0300) Model F300 or Equivalent.

bullet

 Protected Enclosure for UV Exposures.

bullet

Spray Gun - BINKS Model 115 with 78S tip and 8 oz fluid cup or Equivalent. Propel with Nitrogen.

bullet

Clean Bench or Fume Hood to Control Dust and Fumes.

bullet

Antistatic Materials for Handling Electronic Components.

Spray Coating Procedures

bullet

Filter AT-924 Epoxy at 70° C into Clean Spray Gun Reservoir.

bullet

Surface Preparation - Surfaces to be Coated Must be Contaminant Free. Clean with an Appropriate Solvent. Where Possible, Etching or Abrading Surface Will Promote Adhesion.

bullet

Spray Coating - Spray with Epoxy at 70° C with 30 psi Nitrogen. Where Possible, Spray onto Warm Substrate for Best Results. Avoid Exposure of Coated Substrate to Dust or Other Contaminants Prior to UV Cure.

bullet

UV Cure - Expose to High Intensity UV Light Source for 60 Seconds. Light Must Reach into All Coated Areas - Rotate Substrate or Expose in a Reflective Enclosure.

bullet

Postcure - Expose UV Cured Coating at 70° C for 2-4 Hours in a Clean Oven to Complete Cure. May be postcured at 125° C for higher temperature applications.
